Description

Just over 30 mins away from Canada’s capital city is a suburb located on the Rideau River that feels like a country getaway within Ottawa.

It is a heritage village rooted in history with a perfect small-town charm.

Named after the Ojibway word for “island in the river” by its founder, Moss Kent Dickinson, Manotick's has a very recognizable landmark.

It is the only working museum in the Ottawa area and one of very few operating industrial grist mills in North America.

Watson's Mill has also the home of Ann Currier, the wife of Joseph Currier since 1861.
