The naturalized American citizen Ahmad Khan Rahami, the suspect in New York and New Jersey bomb plots that injured 29 people in NYC’s Chelsea neighbourhood, took a trip to Afghanistan in 2014. Upon his return, friends noticed that he had changed, becoming “more religious” and dressing differently.
