A UofT professor is under fire from students accusing him of hate speech, after he refused to use gender-neutral pronouns for non-binary students. Whaaaaat. Professor Jordan Peterson posted a Youtube video on his blog saying people shouldn’t be allowed to change “the grammatical features of normal words” saying “I don’t recognize a person’s right to determine what pronoun I use to address them...I don’t know what other options are if you’re not a man or a woman.” He’s referring to pronouns like “xu” “hir” and “ze” that some people identify with.
