Description

Growing up in Bogata, Colombia food was always at the centre of every family get together for Julian Velasquez (El Estanco) but he set out on a path to study Politics and International Relations at University. When he moved to England to improve his English he found part time work as a kitchen hand and it sparked a passion for hospitality he didn’t know he held. He eventually found his way to Australia, and while cooking on The Ghan and Indian Pacific he was offered to chance to open his very own restaurant in the Barossa where he now pays homage to the food of his youth.
