After his landlord passed away and the new owners upped the rents to unmanageable levels Karl Firla (Oscillate Wildly) was forced to close the Sydney fine dining institution he’d spent a decade building. But after teaming up with a close friend and fellow chef Federico Zanellato (LuMi dining) to launch Restaurant Leo during the pandemic, a new dawn has broken for one of Australia’s most talented chefs.
