After training as a baker back in her home country New Zealand Lucy Whitlow (Osteria Ilaria) soon found herself drawn to the science and service of restaurants in the pastry kitchen. It lead her all the way to Melbourne where plies her trade in one of the cities best Italian restaurants, but lockdown gave her pause for exploration. Fascinated with cheese and fermentation she started a cheese course and is discovering a whole new culinary adventure.
