Leaving Canada for the Michelin starred restaurants in the United Kingdom not long after getting his chef qualifications Ron McKinlay (Canoe Restaurant, Toronto, Canada) discovered the bounty and importance of local ingredients. It set him on a journey to explore the unique ingredients of Scotland, Australia and then finally back home to Canada where his ethos have seen him acknowledged as Canada’s best proponents of farm-to-plate cooking.
