Today I had and amazing conversation with registered dietitian, author and speaker Emily Estes.
Emily grew up in rural Nebraska, where her coping skills as an adolescent developed into an eating disorder. Emily recovered from that and decided to help others facing the same challenges, so she became a registered dietitian and co founded the Nebraska Eating Disorder Network.
We talk about the failure of diets and the importance of addressing core beliefs around food, the generational differences and societal programming around our relationship with food, and how diets aren't designed to help you be successful and look at food holistically. We also talk about the story behind her book Affirming Me, diminishing ed, and so much more!
