November 27th: Barbara Precht Dies (2006)

There are approximately 40,000 unidentified descendants in the United States alone so, with that staggering number, any and all identifications seems like the victory you feel when you place that final piece in a long and complicated puzzle. However sometimes the identity of a Jane or John Doe can lead to more questions than it does answers. On November 27th 2006 a woman was pulled from the Ohio River and remained unidentified for almost a decade. A woman whose identification only brought more questions than it did answers.
