Dr. Sheryl Kingsberg is a Clinical Psychologist and Chief of the Division of Behavioral Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. She cites four FSDs, female sexual disorders women could experience during their lifetimes. Dr. Kingsberg says there are gender inequities around the treatment of HSDD, Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder. She says that 10 percent of women have a loss of sexual interest and women can be distressed by this. The medical community does not take this treatment as seriously as men’s sexual function issues especially if women are post-menopausal. Great podcast as we openly discuss these taboo subjects as they relate to women’s health and happiness.
