Description

In this episode of Serial Streamers Jami and Jessi discuss the Netflix documentary, Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action. This doc chronicles the rise and fall of the long-running, wildly popular and very controversial tabloid talk show. What began as a traditional talk show in 1991 covering current events, The Jerry Springer Show quickly became a racy and explicit tabloid talk show featuring controversial guests such as Ku Klux Klan members and mistresses wanting to air out their dirty laundry on national tv. The show often turned into something similar to what you’d see during a WWE match with guests getting into physical altercations, which only boosted the show’s ratings. Jami and Jessi give their thoughts on the documentary and recall their experience watching The Jerry Springer Show back in the 90s.
