Vishal Dixit is a climate scientist working as an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Program in Climate Studies at IIT Bombay. He works on different aspects of tropical climate change with a special fascination for Monsoon Dynamics.

In this episode, Vishal narrated his journey - from Bangalore to Netherlands and Australia and returning to Mumbai. His passion for clouds and climate change is just amazing. You will also hear about his work on a soil mapping project in Maharashtra. He explained why the colour of clouds is black when it is raining, why wind power is limited to only a few areas in India and also explained concept of rainband through Kalidas' Meghdoot. He also talks about upcoming career opportunities in climate studies.
