Freedom of expression, individual liberty and human rights are the peak achievements we have given (or promised to give) to fellow human beings (until now). The Internet is the modern world's pathway for expression and commerce. Therefore, if someone (usually the state) denies the internet to the other (usually its citizens), it is treated as a violation of human rights. Access Now released a report on internet shutdowns in 2022. India tops the list for the fifth consecutive time.
