A.K.Hangal, a renowned actor of Hindi film industry who was born in Sialkot and brought up in Peshawar He was fond of musical stage drama. In his early life, he enjoyed acting in plays like Mahabharat and Ram Leela. His entry in the movies was little late in life though, there was no difference in his zeal of acting be it on stage or behind the camera. The several different roles he acted in Hindi movies like a father, a servant or a friend were lovingly accepted by the audience. The blind Moulavi played by him in ‘Shole’ was the most memorable.
