Sometimes we have to aim small to grow big. Just the other day, Dr. Buske and his 11 year old son were playing catch and had the goal of 20 consecutive catches. They both were off their game and just weren’t connecting. His son was getting frustrated and wanted to give up. Instead, Dr. Buske recommended they take a break. When they got back to it, they went 20 for 20. His son learned a valuable lesson, that it’s okay to get frustrated when you’re trying to reach a goal, and it’s okay to take a break to shift your attitude. In today’s society, we often do everything we can to avoid adversity, pain, and discomfort, but that’s where the most growth happens. Life truly is the result of daily decisions that add up over time. What’s one small commitment you can make today, and continue, to add up to something big?
