After this, we move to our interview with Anthony Petrielli of the Maple Leafs Hotstove to discuss the Leafs’ recent play and future possible trades and direction (32:00). Returning back to our discussion, we analyse Ovechkin’s slow start to the year and whether he can break Gretzky’s record (1:05:10), as well as news in the Central Division with the St. Louis Blues firing Craig Berube and the Winnipeg Jets’ playoff chances now that Kyle Connor went down with an injury (1:10:50). We end off the episode by talking about fighting after clean hits, the new additions to the NHL Skills Competition, and whether the NHL should follow the NBA’s suit and implement both an In-Season Tournament and Play-In Tournament (1:27:30).
