THis episode has been a long time coming! I was originally introduced to Johnny 8BitCR back in 2015 at the height of the amiibo craze! I was the Community Manager for Toys For Games, a Podcast and community surrounding Toys To Life Gaming, Fast forward 5 years and our paths have once again crossed thanks to Pokémon!
We discuss how his channel has matured over the years and how Pokémon has become the staple in his content mix. From main series Shiny Hunting to Pokémon GO PvP, you can find a variety of Pokémon content on his channel. We discuss what it is like to Train in Costa Rica, and how the LATAM scene is deep into the culture of organized, team based PvP.
Johnny’s channel is the first content that we have covered that is created in a language other than English. It is amazing how the world of Pokémon brings the community together to share their passion and love of gaming!
