We start off this week’s show with a recap of current events and how they went for us. While We ripped through the Kanto Throwback Challenge early, we are really excited for the Double Stardust that is ahead during the Johto week. Adam wasn’t able to get out to raid (even remotely) Darkrai, however Ken was able to do a bunch but wasn’t lucky enough to get a shiny. We both really enjoyed Shellder Spotlight Hour as the spawn rate was insane and the Double Stardust was amazing.
Just after recording last week’s episode, Niantic identified a critical bug that forced them to delay the launch of GO Battle League Season 2. We bring you up to speed with the updated schedule and discuss how we are both enjoying the Master League.
Snubble Limited Research Day was announced for this weekend along with our next Incense Day coming next weekend. While Snubble Day overlaps with Philly Safari Zone, we are confident that it will still be a good time. As for Incense Day, we are both fans of the alternating types that will provide a diverse yet focused catching experience.
Next up is a dive into the 0.175.0 APK Mine that was literally unfolding in front of us as we were recording. While we didn’t have the PokeMiners in depth breakdown, we reported on everything we know about. There are a ton of goodies in there, including remote raid invites and occlusion!
We end the show with a deep dive discussion about the PokeCoin system revamp that will be rolling out as a test. While it set the internet ablaze, we try to make sense of it and share both our perspectives and the perspective of the community. This will be an interesting one to follow, and will be our Poke The Bear segment for next week.
