Ep 141. When People Don’t Support Your Goals

Often, setting new fitness goals can be a challenge for our loved ones. Today’s episode was inspired by the regularly asked questions we receive for when family, friends or partners aren’t supporting certain goals.

We encourage the listeners to look within and try to understand how we are projecting ourselves when it comes to our new goals. It is important to try to understand where your loved ones are coming from, they may be trying to protect you or come from a place of having your best interest at heart.

Communication is always important in order to be respectful and understanding of your loved ones’ needs amongst your own.

We share strategies we have used in the past in order to try to minimise conflict and to create supportive environments.

We also highlight the importance of recognising that sometimes it may be time to move on from certain relationships if the communication and care isn’t reciprocated.
