The playlist for this show was inspired by a road trip that my wife and I took to the Alberta Rockies this summer with our cocker spaniels, Wanda & Jackson. Our pups did an amazing job being ambassadors for the breed, and for rescue dogs in general, while I did my best to be an ambassador for the independent artists that I've featured on The Rodent Hour.
So many of the small towns that we stopped in featured three things - an independent brewery, a cool independent coffee shop and amazing theatre marquees. Of course I couldn't help but think of all of the great bands that we've featured on our show and how I'd love to see their name in lights in these smaller centers because I know that if more people were able to hear their music that they would become as big of a fan as I am.
