For this episode I went through my record collection and found some great funk and soul compilations that I haven't heard in years. Two such comps that are heavily featured on this set are "Planet of The Big Funk Breaks" and "Miami Sound". The later, which was released in 2003 on the Soul Jazz label is particularly notable because it includes million-selling artists such as Gwen McRae, George McRae and Timmy Thomas alongside artists unknown outside of the Sunshine State such as James Knight and The Butlers, Frank Williams and The Rocketeers and All the People.
