We come full circle on this Soccer Mom Sunday! In June of 2024, Jen Siess sat down to chat with her former coach at Lindenwood University, Debbie Washburn. Not only did we talk about her soccer origin story, she also shared the story of her TWICE WINNING 1989 and 1990 National Women’s Over-30 Division teams. A first in St. Louis women’s soccer history. For years, these soccer champs have gone unrecognized, but that just changed on February 27th, 2025 when they were formally honored by the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame. Tune in for a great conversation with Debbie, along with former teammates, Lisa Lamb and Mary Carpenter, as they share their own soccer origin stories, along with some grit-forming experiences like sleeping in a hotel lobby before a big game.
