This week we chat with Luke Scott who has just announced that, after 13 years, he is leaving the Prickly Moses brewery in Victoria’s Otways.
Luke leaves his current role to join start-up Sou’ West Brewing in the old Quicksilver building on Victoria’s Surf Coast.
Luke is one of those brewers who has seen a lot of his change over his 13 years at the brewery, one that you may not even have heard of if you’re not from Victoria, and that’s because the business has changed focus as the industry has grown from 100 breweries nationally to somewhere around 500.
Luke has seen the business move from a brewery looking for national markets, to a locally focused brewery catering the community. We hear what he has learned and seen change as the craft brewing industry he entered has changed. We also hear about what he has planned for the new venture.
