Andrew Workman is a 2013 graduate of Chapmanville Regional High School. Following high school, he enlisted into the United States marine corps where he would serve for four years as a radio operator with artillery and infantry. By the end of his enlistment, he had deployed twice, been awarded the Navy and Marine corps service medal, and earned the rank of sergeant. In 2017 he was awarded an honorable discharge. Following his marine corps career, he began coaching football for his alma mater, CRHS. He assisted by calling plays for the JV offense. In 2018 he would begin coaching at West Virginia State University as a student assistant Safeties coach. He took over the role of tight ends and fullbacks coach in Spring 2019. Since taking over the role he has coached WVSU’s first All-American in football, and seen the group improve on the field and in the classroom. He is set to graduate with a BA in History in November 2020. He lives in Barboursville, WV with his wife Tayla.
