The Pittsburgh Pirates are off to a 9-3 start through theearly portions of the 2024 MLB season. The team is getting contributions up and down the lineup and the pitching both from the rotation and bullpen have exceeded expectations early on. While they've won 9 out of their 12 games, it hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows. Closer David Bednar has struggled out of the gate, having blown 3 save oppurtunities already. Having missed extended time due to a lat issue in Spring Training, is an IL stint in the cards? Can Aroldis Chapman and company hold it down in the meantime? Henry Davis, Andrew McCutchen and Jack Suwinski's bats have yet to come North as well, but the likes of Ke'Bryan Hayes, Bryan Reynolds, Connor Joe, etc...have more than made up for it! Let's discuss!
