The Pittsburgh Pirates strength all season has been their starting pitching. That may come as a surprise based off expectations before the season, but here we are. Paul Skenes, Jared Jones, Mitch Keller and Bailey Falter continue to lead a playoff quality rotation. The problem? The bats and bullpen haven't followed suit. The team has seemingly had one or the other for the entirety of the season and never had all 3 elements working in unison. While Rowdy Tellez has seemingly made some mechanical changes leading to a strong June thus far and Bryan Reynolds remains consistent. Ke'Bryan Hayes, Jack Suwinski, Henry Davis, Michael A. Taylor, etc... are providing nothing. Beyond David Bednar and Colin Holderman, the bullpen leaves a lot to be desired too.
