Welcome to the Vikings Daily Opener. Today, we have some interesting stories to cover.
First, we have six takeaways from Brian Flores' press conference. Flores spoke about a variety of topics, including the importance of building relationships during OTAs, and how much he loves every aspect of coaching. He also talked about the intensity of the defense during practices.
Next, we have a Vikings 53-man roster prediction 2.0. The roster cutdown is always a daunting task for any general manager, and this year is no different for the Vikings. They currently have 91 players on their roster, due to the addition of Junior Aho through the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. However, they still need to cut their roster down to 53 before the beginning of the 2023 season. Check out the predictions for each position group.
In addition, we have a report on a 2024 NFL draft prospect: Washington State QB Cam Ward. Ward is a fourth-year senior with a dual-threat ability, and has plus arm talent. His ability to create is a net positive, but he will need some time to develop overall.
Finally, Doug Farrar from Touchdown Wire talks to Greg Cosell about five NFL defenses that will be very different in 2023 and with Brian Flores, the results should be much better.
Lastly, we have a fan mailbag segment for The Real Forno Show. Tyler Forness will be answering listener and viewer questions, so make sure to submit your questions on his tweet.
That's all for today's episode of the Vikings Daily Opener. Stay tuned for more news and stories on the Minnesota Vikings.
