As Jennie and Madeleine enter the camp their mysterious rescuer brought them to, they are met with unexpected allies. As they learn more about the troubles of the forest, they discover that the webs of sickness and power are much more tangled than they knew. Can this world- and its precious stories- be saved, or will their pursuers leave them with no time but to run?
