The Montreal Canadiens played their first great game of the season, admittedly against a shorthanded Red Wings team, but a great game nonetheless.

It should come as no surprise that the game's key players for the Canadiens were Nick Suzuki and Brendan Gallagher, who combined for five points and two of the Canadiens' three goals.

Suzuki's performance was especially exciting for Canadiens fans, who haven't seen him at this level since last year's playoffs.

The biggest question after such a positive step forward for the Canadiens will be if they can build off of it going forward, and if so, does the pressure on Marc Bergevin begin to be relieved?
