The Montreal Canadiens continue play uninspired hockey to start the season, and appear to be a team without an identity after the losses of Shea Weber, two thirds of their top line from the last three seasons, and missing Carey Price to start the year. The result is a mess of a team that lacks any scoring punch.

The lone bright spots of the Canadiens' start to the season have been the brilliance of Jake Allen in net, and the inspiring return of Jonathan Drouin, who has scored two of the team's paltry three goals.

Should the Canadiens ride Allen and Drouin to get some short term success, or play the long game?

Alexander Romanov and Jake Evans are two players the Canadiens clearly love, but are they miscast?
