With March Madness coming up, she decided to earn some extra cash by renting out her house and became hooked on the STR game. The biggest hurdle she faced was the gap between a solid, W-2 job to making an income full time in the STR field. Brindy encourages STR investors everywhere to go beyond Airbnb and create short term rental businesses, not Airbnb businesses. If you start out on Airbnb like Brindy did, make a plan to add other platforms and direct booking because the STR space is going to shift to more direct bookings and retargeting prior customers.
