On August 1st, 1998, Jayson Artis disappeared during his visit to Tijuana, Mexico, where he was celebrating his younger brother Steven Thomas's birthday. They became separated around 1:30 am. Two days later, Jayson's family received a call from the American Consulate informing them that he had been found dead. However, the results of the autopsy only left them with more questions than answers.
