On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles, Dan connects with returning guest Mitch Schmidt about his days as a Alaskan fishing guide and a 2019 trip to Kansas that resulted in a booner on the 4th day.
Mitch walks us through why he decided to head to Alaska and become a fishing guide and his day to day responsibilities at the lodge he works for. He talks about being a boat captain, flying in a float plane, and bear encounters while fishing with clients on the river.
Then we transition back to whitetails as he breaks down his 2019 Kansas bowhunt on public land with one of his best hunting buddies. They discuss the digital scouting that was involved and how the first couple days were dedicated to driving around, locating deer and putting boots on the ground looking for sign. It didn't take long for the guys to find success as they were both tagged out within the first 4 days of a 10 day hunt.
This is just a kick ass story of guy living his best life!
