Join me in The Red Treehouse as I read a terrific short horror story, The Occupant of the Room, written by Algernon Blackwood.
First published in 1909, The Occupant of the Room by Algernon
Blackwood tells the story of a schoolmaster on vacation in the Swiss Alps.
While seeking a room at the local inn, he is initially turned away, as there
are no vacancies. Sort of. The innkeeper offers him a room that was previously occupied by a missing hiker. You’ll have to keep listening to find out the rest.
Blackwood’s story is creepy and atmospheric—and is best
listened to in the dark.
So, sit back, turn down the lights, pull up the covers, and pay close attention as I read The Occupant of the Room by Algernon Blackwood.
