Join me in The Red Treehouse as I read you a chapter of arguably the most famous horror story ever written, Dracula written by Bram Stoker.

First published in 1897, Dracula by Bram Stoker is
inarguably one of the most influential pieces of literature ever written,
regardless of genre.

An epistolary novel, the story unfolds through letters,
diary entries, and newspaper clippings. As much a historical novel as gothic fiction, Dracula is considered a masterpiece of English literature whose characters have endured for over 125 years.

Recently, I watched The Last Voyage of the Demeter and really enjoyed it—and though I knew it was based on a chapter in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, it’d been years since I read it. Until now.

In this episode of The Red Treehouse, I’m going to read chapter 7 of Dracula.

So, sit back, turn down the lights, pull up the covers, and pay close attention as I read the inspiration for The Last Voyage of the Demeter.

I’m your host, Will. Welcome to The Red Treehouse.
