Join me in The Red Treehouse as we explore a controversial--and terrifying--story: The Haunting of Doris Bither. In the 1970s, Doris Bither claimed her home was haunted by several entities. The phenomenon was standard--lights flickering on and off, doors opening and closing by themselves. But, then, she made another claim: the entities were physically--and sexually--assaulting her.
To this day, the case remains as controversial as ever, even with a fictionalized novel (published in 1978) and a mainstream Hollywood film (released in 1982). Was Doris Bither truly terrorized and assaulted by invisible entities? Or were the supposed hauntings something else entirely?
