Goal setting has a proven positive impact on human performance and achievement. But there has been a lot of debate about how to actually set goals and whether we should share them with others or keep them private. Based on research, it seems that sharing our goals with people we look up to and respect has the greatest chance of helping us reach them, but in the end it's a personal decision and we should all do what works best for us as individuals.
