Maxyne is an established, exciting professional singer, performing with her band Maxyne Ryan Quintet, various jazz ensembles and celebrated gospel choirs. She has a smooth velvety voice that can soothe the senses or ‘raise the roof’ with up-tempo numbers. She works with the UK’s finest jazz musicians and has performed at many of London’s most prestigious venues.
Maxyne has released a number of dance tracks, including ‘Joy’ and ‘Come on Over’, and is currently working on new material to complete her album. She was part of a select group who sang for the Papal visit at Hyde Park for an audience of 80,000. She provided backing vocals, with various gospel choirs, for Mick Hucknall, Chrissy Hinde, Alison Moyet, Lee Ryan (Blue) and Shakin’ Stevens. Other achievements include her own gospel tour of New York City and as a music leader for a community choir.
She graduated with a master’s degree in jazz voice from the world-renowned Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She regularly performs high-quality musical entertainment and after-dinner jazz at receptions and awards ceremonies, functions and private residencies within the City of London and beyond. She can provide smooth jazz, silky soul or a combination of both depending on your requirements.
