Affirmations are a tool a lot of people use to transform and expand consciousness or change results that they’re getting in their lives. They’re great and they can be extremely effective, but I want to tell you that when I first heard about affirmations, I thought they were just a story that people told themselves to make themselves feel better and that they were trite and silly and a new age way of making people buy cassettes. But I was so wrong. 
Paradigm shifts, which are our belief systems, often occur in your subconscious. Your subconscious actions and thoughts make up most of your awareness, meaning that what you think you’re thinking is really only 7-13% of what you’re actually thinking. Your conscious mind is only 7-13%, the rest of it is subconscious. So much of what we think or believe about ourselves has been generated from experiences we’ve had in the past or things other people have told us in the past.
Affirmations are statements about how we experience reality. If we’re having a negative experience in life we can use affirmations aspirationally, and they may seem a bit bigger than us or fantastical or untrue, however, if we use them frequently – in sets of three 3-6 times a day – we literally start changing our thoughts, both conscious and subconscious.
I cannot underscore how important it is that your thoughts and words are creation devices. They send energy out into the universe, like orders at the universal restaurant. When you place that order, that thought and belief system behind that sends an energy frequency out into the universe which causes that energy vibration to come back to you at various speeds, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.
