Description

In this episode, Ariel talks about using your intuition to manage your calendar when your day falls apart due to unforeseen circumstances, such as your child getting sick when your work calendar is insane.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
As entrepreneurs, moms, caretakers and hard workers, we all have too much to do and too little time in which to get it done. Interruptions, errors, breakdowns and disruptions are a normal part of our day. What if you could use your intuition to guide you when everything you had planned goes awry. Over the years I’ve learned to address calendar, event and life changes using a combination of common sense, experience and intuition to find my way through the maze of GST – getting stuff done – even with interruptions and epic fails.
If something happens where you can’t do certain things on a certain day or time, you can ask some key questions about what’s important and you can also use your intuition to feel into what’s most important or what needs to happen. Imagine your intuition is your guidance energy that flows you through life, like a rope that’s guiding you along, getting across that challenge point to the other side.
Sometimes you can use your intuition/inner feelings/openness/flow to get a sense of what wants to happens next. If you have five different things you want to accomplish, go within, close your eye, take some deep breaths and think about those five different things and think about which one of those five different activities wants to happen first, or which feels most open/easy. There’s a feeling you’ll get where it will reschedule your day, but if you get this feeling/intuition that this is the order those things are supposed to happen in and you flow with that order, things will work out in really positive ways that you couldn’t have planned or expected.
When you have breakdowns when you have a deadline, one of the most important things to do is communicate with the people who are expecting you to accomplish something at a certain time. Tell the people you can’t meet the deadline for immediately and ask what can be done; can it be finished tomorrow? Can someone else do it? Then you can relax and let go of the stress, worry and upset about not getting that thing done. Then, you can focus on what you can do.

BEST MOMENTS
“Find the activities you can do and then accomplish those, and which activity is most easily accomplished first, or which one are you most prepared for on your new schedule?”“If you’re stressed that things got cancelled you have to do some deep breathing and let go of your upset that half your day has been cancelled. What can you do?”“When you’re in the zone you get way more done than when you struggle and fight.”“You’re going to feel freed up, more alive and happy in your work.”
