On this episode Ariel talks about the power of women’s rights, after the leak of an impending Supreme Court decision on the Row vs Wade case. Your rights have been hard won and you could lose them. What can you do about it?
KEY TAKEAWAYS
All women in the United States, and all over the world, need to know that their ability to make decisions for their lives are being eroded, and it’s a significant threat. Normally I don’t talk about negative things like this, but you do need to know that this issue and what you do now and in the next six months, before and at the mid-term elections, is going to make a huge difference for women for years or even decades to come.
Row vs Wade became law in 1973, this was a court case which gave women a higher access to deciding what was happening with her body than the State’s ability to decide what was happening with her body when she was pregnant.
According to studies, women don’t feel like they have equal opportunities, access to leadership, they feel like they’re not taken as seriously and a lot of times they don’t get access to higher paid jobs, the glass ceiling is real in a lot of professions.
One in three female rape victims recorded experienced rape for the first time between the ages of 11-17 years old and one in eight before the age of 10. If you think about it, 20% of women have experienced sexual violence, it’s terrifying.

“There’s a drop in men getting education, and it’s a serious issue.”
