Basing her series of children’s books upon the true life adventures of dogs she knows and loves, Marla Stahl has carved out a beautifully unique genre, aiming to educate and enlighten children to the cause of animal welfare.

As a life-long animal lover, author and pup-lisher, Marla has always had dogs in her life. In recent years she has raised three little rescue dogs and has two 'grand-dogs' to love as well. Her children's books are based on the true antics and personalities of dogs she knows and loves.
Marla donates a portion of her sales proceeds to animal rescue groups (and sometimes to human-related groups as well.) She has supported rescues in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., Texas, and Puerto Rico, as well as supporting special fundraisers for kids with cancer, seniors, people with disabilities, and flood victims.
She visits schools in her area to read her books to the students, and discusses the concepts of kindness to animals, how to safely engage with dogs, and at one school, the creative writing process.
Each of her books is based on real dogs or animal-loving people and their charming antics. Marla’s mission is broken out into three main initiatives:
To educate about the importance of kindness to animals and about animal rescue
To financially support animal rescue organizations
To make people smile!
