KEY TAKEAWAYS
Being at school, being told to do something, never really sat well with Paul. He wanted to be an entrepreneur, his own boss, even at that young age. He entered university, but couldn’t wait anymore and left. Having a degree is the best option; no mistake in that. He just decided he personally would learn more in the outside world.
Paul didn’t have any idea where to start. But had this unsettling feeling, a powerful urge to get out and chase what’s meant for him. He had big ambitions for himself and no one was going to stop him.
His property portfolio was doing well until the worst came, which was around the year 2011. He had to give up some properties. That was hard for him since nobody enjoys having to fail. He had terrible fits of anxiety. But little by little, he started to rebuild.
No man is an island. Success can be achieved effectively with the help of others. Admit it. Empathy and compassion can go a long way. No one should be blamed when things hit the fan. And more so, people should be credited when they do a wonderful job.
Paul is always on the journey to improve and better himself. It’s important that you continue persevering—that fire in the belly. Look for ways on how available resources can help you. For Paul, attending therapy sessions helped him. He also continues learning—reading books, listening to mentors, etc.
BEST MOMENTS
“The entire system of having to grade someone at an early age…it’s just puts pressure on all angles. For me, it’s just a negative.”
“I have this opinion of myself that I’ll be a millionaire by 30. That drove me—that thought process.”
“I feel I’m properly living now. I have no fear anymore. I’ve learned so much about myself. I’m not scared of success now.”

ABOUT THE GUEST
Paul Berry is an entrepreneur and the founder of Paul Berry Gardens.
Paul has long been curious and ambitious, even at an early age. He entered Staffordshire University, but he wasn’t able to finish his degree as he already started his journey as an entrepreneur—with or without diploma. He’s got big plans for himself. At the age of 22, he started building his property portfolio. He’d continue managing this and would become a stable income stream for him.
Then in 2005, Paul started his own service company Paul Berry Gardens to help his clients improve and maintain their gardens, grounds, and outdoor spaces, whether it be in residential or commercial setting.
