Rick Lambert truly is as man of many talents including songwriting, playing guitar, entrepreneur who owns Red 55 Winery and the Pourhouse in Lindale Texas, outdoor chef who loves cooking in cast iron, fisherman, a consummate turkey hunter and hunter of many other things in North America and in Africa. He also happens to be the father of Miranda Lambert. However, to me more importantly, he is “Rick” a dear friend for numerous years. I caught up with my old friend while he, Jim Zumbo and I were in Oklahoma on the ranch that Miranda used to own. Our goal was to catch several “messes” of bluegills to send back to Wyoming with Zumbo, eat good, tell a few hunting yarns, and simply enjoy each other’s company while kicking back and relaxing.
