Description

Fly Fishing For Salmon and Steelhead.
Both are not native to the Great Lakes. Once river herring reached Lake Erie via the Erie Canal they proliferated in the lakes. Salmon were stocked in the 1960s to devour the herring. The steelhead had been there for several decades prior. Now there are two more types of migratory fishes to catch in the rivers and lakes.
Listen as Rob describes why the fish are there at certain times of year, how to target them, the gear needed, and more.
