“I really felt in those moments, like, the fact that this is still happening to me, feels like there's a reason, and I'm going to give it purpose. And I'm going to actively take this story and turn it into a positive one.” - Adriana Carrig on bullying
For Adriana, being bullied throughout adolescence and into college became a fact of her life. But it was nothing in comparison to the infertility she would face later on. While still in college, Adriana took the lessons she had learned through bullying to create a meaningful business that aims to help others build community and peace. That same community also helps her now as she faces the mental health struggles that come with infertility and lack of control in the face of it.
Today, I sit down with Adriana and she shares advice for parents of bullied children, how bullying and infertility are connected, different ways a woman can be a mother, and so much more.
