Description

“What also helps me is making sure that I am investing time in my baby, which is Luminary, my nieces and nephews, my partner's grandchildren. That's filling that hole. And I think over time, maybe that hole doesn't go away, but the pain is lessened a little bit by talking about it.” - Cate Luzio on being childless not by choice
After five rounds of IVF, Cate Luzio realized she needed a break––from IVF and her marriage. When her mother told her that she could become a mother in a non-traditional sense, something lit up in Cate… So she threw herself into birthing a community of women (and men) who are there to help support each other and advance their careers.
I sat down with Cate Luzio, Founder, CEO and mother of Luminary, to discuss what she would not do all over again, her struggle with infertility, ultimately being childless not by choice, finding support during breast cancer, and so much more.
