Actor Tramell Tillman has made Emmy history as the first Black man to win outstanding supporting actor in a drama series for his role in Apple TV+’s “Severance.” The award, given at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, marks the last major acting category at the Emmys to finally recognize a Black performer. Tillman, who is also openly gay, joins a groundbreaking legacy that includes Viola Davis and Billy Porter. At 40, he is emerging as a rising star with blockbuster film credits and upcoming roles in “Good Sex” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
