Description

Jenna is an entrepreneur, community advocate, and mother of two whose work beautifully bridges business, compassion, and social impact. Through Happy Place Property Management, Jenna and her team help provide safe, welcoming housing for refugees, immigrants, and women from local housing organizations, offering not just homes—but hope and belonging.
Her philosophy is rooted in kindness, empathy, and practical support, especially in the face of Halifax’s housing crisis. Jenna’s session will highlight how small acts of care in business and property management can lead to powerful ripple effects in community well-being and peacebuilding.
In addition to her work in housing, Jenna founded the Smart Cookie Literary Society, where proceeds from her cookie business help provide books by local authors to schools and organizations. The initiative focuses on sharing stories that reflect Nova Scotia’s cultural diversity and resilience.
Jenna’s journey is a testament to how entrepreneurship and empathy can co-exist to foster dignity, inclusion, and empowerment in everyday spaces.
