On this Monday episode, Buckeye Talk celebrates the legacy and impact of Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who was killed over the weekend at the age of 24 after he was struck by a vehicle.
Doug Lesmerises is joined by former Buckeye Talk co-host Bill Landis to talk about their time covering Haskins together, dating back to 2014 when they visited one of his high school games in Maryland when he was a junior.
Haskins had a fascinating and captivating career arc, from his recruitment, to his status as the backup in 2017, to saving the Michigan game that season, to his record-setting 2018 season.
Doug and Bill talk all about Haskins as a player and as a guy they greatly enjoyed interviewing and covering. At the end, Doug reads some remembrances from text subscribers about why Haskins was so special to Ohio State fans.
